Kim is a counselor in training working towards dual licensure in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy at LeTourneau University. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Auburn University. Kim is married with three sons. She has a special interest in helping children, adults, couples, and families focus on strengths and uncovering misplaced emotions that may be the driving force behind dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors. She provides a safe and nurturing atmosphere that encourages healthy change and growth. Kim uses an integrative approach to counseling combining the most relevant theoretical modalities that best meet the unique needs of each individual. She fosters learning through a strength-based approach and some of the methods that she draws from are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Object Relations Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Kim believes in the power of encouragement and thrives to help individuals discover their strengths and the many possibilities life has to offer.
Kim is an intern and cannot accept insurance. Kim offers a sliding fee scale starting at $20/hour. All intakes are a standard $20 regardless of income level.
